The Red BalloonThe young boy clutched the string, the only thing keeping the red balloon from floating away into the nothingness. Occasionally, he would let go of the string, watch the balloon begin to fly away, and then quickly regain his tight hold on the string. His grandfather watched the boy with interest, with a smile on his face, recalling the times he’d found so much amusement in something so simple. The boy’s mother watched the balloon, thinking how her little boy was so much like it--running off somewhere whenever free and then being pulled back to safety by a firm grip on his arm. Oy, I have yet another account. That makes three now, but I don't use the first one. I'll probably end up not using this one as well, so when that happens, all of you should know that my new account name is Perishable-Eternity. Yeah, I know that doesn't make much sense, but it's a phrase based on a line from a movie, and it makes sense to me, so there.
